Started back in 2012 with three architects, a couple laptops, and way too much coffee...
We weren't happy with the same old cookie-cutter designs everyone was pushing out. Toronto deserved better. So we figured, why not blend what's timeless with what's coming next? That's kinda how the whole "temporal & futuristic" thing happened - wasn't some marketing gimmick, just what we were already doing.
Fast forward to now, we've got a full team scattered across Queen West, tackling everything from heritage restorations to sci-fi-looking commercial complexes. Still drinking too much coffee though, some things don't change.
What really gets us going is when a client walks into a space we designed and just goes "whoa." That's the good stuff right there.
Main milestones that shaped who we are
Founded in a cramped shared office space. Our first project was redesigning a friend's cafe - they couldn't pay much but trusted our vision. That cafe's still running and looks damn good.
Landed a commercial complex downtown. Nearly killed ourselves meeting deadlines but pulled it off. Won a regional design award we didn't even know we were nominated for.
Shifted focus toward sustainable design. Not because it was trendy - because buildings consume ridiculous amounts of energy and we can actually do something about it. Got certified, changed how we approach every project.
Finally got our own proper studio space at 1247 Queen Street West. Real drafting tables, a 3D visualization lab, and a kitchen that isn't just a microwave on a filing cabinet.
Team of 15 passionate designers, working on projects across Ontario. We're tackling urban planning challenges, breathing new life into heritage buildings, and designing spaces that'll still look forward-thinking in 20 years.
We design with yesterday's lessons and tomorrow's possibilities in mind. History informs innovation, not limits it.
Not just slapping solar panels on everything. We're talking integrated systems, materials that matter, spaces that actually reduce footprints.
We'll tell you when an idea won't work - and why. Then we'll figure out what will. No egos, just good design.
